THE NETWORK

The SMALLABLE network involves small European municipalities affected by demographic and economic decline, belonging to so-called internal and marginal areas.

Municipalities where the decline seems to have also taken away hopes for an alternative and better future. The Partners involved in the Project have been facing the phenomena of depopulation and abandonment in their respective territories for years. They have long been reflecting on how to strengthen cooperation and collaboration between public and private entities to increase the attractiveness and efficiency of investments in their territories. They all agree on the need to push their territories towards greater citizen involvement, specifically focusing on younger generations.

With the SMALLABLE Project, the Partners have the opportunity to address these shared problems collectively, discussing and collaborating in an open and inclusive manner to restore hope for a different and better future to their territories and citizens.

The network currently consists of 8 Partners who participated in the CERV-2022-CITIZENS-TOWN-NT call.

They represent five European countries: Italy, the location of the Lead Partner, Portugal, Spain, Hungary, and Croatia.

However, the network is open, and other partners may join based on the Statute to be drafted at the end of the Project.
